For some reason, Zoe Saldana was cast in the role of Nina Simone even though she looked nothing like that singer. But Hollywood had an answer to that, the put her in darker make-up from head to toe, with prosthetic nose and teeth and hair to simulate the singer. This is rubbing a lot of people the wrong way.
